私たちが縛りの道に歩み始めたのは十数年前、美学と親密さ、そして縄が紡ぐ独特の対話への共通の憧れからでした。時を経て、それはカップルとしての深い繋がり方であるだけでなく、信頼と無防備さと激しさが交わる表現の言語へと発展しました。パフォーマンスを通じて、私たちはこの言語へ他者を招き入れ、そこから生まれるエネルギーを共有できるのです。

私たちのパフォーマンスは決して台本通りではありません——縄の中に入り、その瞬間に身を委ねるのです。共有したいのは、私たちの間に生まれる生々しく、フィルターのかかっていない繋がり——緊張と解放、美と激しさ、脆弱さと力の間を行き交うエネルギーの流れです。観客がその流れに引き込まれ、私たちが創り出す情景の静かながら不可欠な一部となることを願っています。

We began our journey with Shibari more than a decade ago out of a shared fascination for aesthetics, intimacy, and the unique dialogue created through ropes. Over time, it became not only a way of connecting deeply as a couple but also a language of expression—where trust, vulnerability, and intensity merge. Performing allows us to invite others into this language and to share the energy it creates.

 

Our performances are never scripted—we step into the ropes and let the moment guide us. What we want to share is the raw, unfiltered connection between us: a flow of energy that moves between tension and release, beauty and intensity, vulnerability and power. We hope the audience feels drawn into that flow, becoming a quiet but essential part of the scene we create.

 

Onawa Asobi Europe feels like the perfect space to celebrate diversity and depth in rope art. We’re excited to be part of a lineup that embraces different styles, energies, and constellations.
