Fetlife: Thank you @yoi without whom everything we experienced during the ONAWA ASOBI EUROPE Festival would not have taken place. Your wisdom and a great lesson for all of us.🙏🏻😘😘
This weekend in Antwerp was magnificent thanks to the work of Marc & Jess as well as the rest of the Belgian and Japanese team. Bravo to all for this brilliant result. - TatiAna
Facebook: What a great Kinbaku festival it was, when the Tokyo Based Onawa Asobi took place for the first time in Europe.
After performing at the Tokyo version in 2018 I was curious to see if it would be the same warm and inclusive feeling in Antwerp - and it was! Performers from all over Europa and several from Tokyo all came together to show so many inspiring versions of Kinbaku.
Thanks a lot to Yoi Yoshida for being the mother of Onawa Asobi for many years, to Marc Beshibari and Shibarista Jess for hosting us all so well at the Shibari Lounge - and to all the helpers and performers. [...] Looking forward to seeing you alle again. - Jac Fabian
Fetlife: In 2 days, 14 performances, 30 minutes each, were held during the day, while in the evenings free tying took place during ropejams. The diversity of performances was overwhelming and each of the participants showed us their own way of practicing shibari with heart and dedication. It was eye-opening and very inspiring to see how versatile a tool rope is, and how many different aspects are there to enjoy about it.- Door
Fetlife: The Onawa Asobi was a success thanks to the talented performers who came from all over the work to give magnificent performances (Italy, Germany, France, Spain, the Netherlands, Danemark, and of course Japan and Belgium). All the performances moved me deeply. I can count them on my fingers, the days when my eyes have been blessed with so much beauty. - Candy Dandelion
