RopeMarksことボブ・ルースは、アムステルダムを拠点とする緊縛のプロフェッショナルであり、25年以上にわたりプロの縛師として活動しています。1999年に日本の縄縛り（シバリ、キンバク）の研鑽を始め、プロとして専門性を高めてきました。そのキャリアを通じて、彼は「日の出ずる国」で、故・明智伝鬼（アケチ・デンキ）や中アキラ （奈加あきら）の門下で、日本の縄縛り（シバリ、キンバク）を学び、プロとして専門化してきました。RopeMarksの作品は、これらの第一線のキンバクシから教えられた伝統的な技法を反映しつつも、彼独自の創造的な工夫と際立ったスタイルによって大きく彩られています。彼は、エネルギッシュで高速なパフォーマンスで最もよく知られており、今夜もその一端をご覧いただけるかもしれません。日本を含め、世界中でパフォーマンスやワークショップを行ってきました。

Niki Selavi:

 

Maya brings warmth, curiosity and a deeply relational form of submission into rope. She does not experience bondage simply as a pose or a technical exercise, but as a way of connecting, surrendering and allowing herself to be led.

She is playful and emotionally open, drawn to intensity, control and the tension between being challenged and being cared for. In rope, her body, reactions and vulnerability become part of the conversation. Trust, desire, struggle and a certain dirtiness can all exist alongside tenderness and genuine connection.

What matters is not only how the rope looks, but what happens between us while the tie is being created.

RopeMarks, Bob Roos, is a kinbaku professional from Amsterdam, who has been tying professionally for the past 25+ years. He started studying and specializing himself professionally in Japanese rope bondage (shibari, kinbaku) in 1999. Over his career he studied in the land of the rising sun under the lineage of the late Akechi Denki (明智伝鬼) and Naka Akira (奈加あきら). RopeMarks’ work reflects the traditional techniques taught by these leading kinbakushi, but is vastly complemented with his own creative twists and distinct style. He is most well known for his energetic and high-speed performances, which you might see reflected tonight. He has done performances and workshops all over the world, including in Japan.
